Kusudama 4: Luminous

This is made with 6 square sheets. This is actually the second kusudama ball I made back in Dec/Jan. It is made from left over Christmas wrapping paper. I like the gold shimmering paper. Have a look at the Poinsettia made from the same paper.

Kusudama 3: UFO

I did this with scrap paper. Never expected it to turn out so big. The main design is done with 6 sheets of paper. The centre pieces require another 6 sheets of papers. (each 1/4 the size of the main piece)
Here's a look at how it's hung.

Kusudama 1: Bleeze

The first of many Kusudama Ball Origami. This design here is called Bleeze. The very first design I made together with my sis. 12 pieces of papers were used and 6 small pieces were used for the centres.
Kusudama is a decorative paper ball for festive
occasions. Origanally, it was an ornamental scent bag hung to clear away noxious
vapors, thus the name "Kusu" (medicine) + "Dama" (ball).

Sunburst (small)

This is done from a single origami paper. Each half rectangle gives a sunburst. The earlier sunburst posted was done with an A4 size paper. It is easier to practice the design with an A4 size paper first.
